PRODUCTION POLICY
Lead Time & Production
At PJ Metal Craft LLC, every product is handcrafted with precision using premium architectural metals and time-honored fabrication techniques. Unlike mass-produced products, each order is individually fabricated to meet the unique specifications of your project.
Our production process includes material procurement, custom tooling when required, shop drawings, precision fabrication, assembly, finishing, quality inspection, and careful preparation for pickup or delivery. Because every project is different, production schedules vary based on complexity and project requirements.
Estimated Lead Times
Lead times vary depending on several factors, including:
- Product type and size
- Material selection and availability
- Project complexity
- Custom tooling or die fabrication requirements
- Historic restoration or replication work
- Current production schedule
- Engineering coordination (when required)
For many standard custom-fabricated products, our typical estimated production lead time is 4–6 weeks.
Larger architectural projects, custom tooling, historic restorations, complex assemblies, or specialty fabrication may require three to four months or longer, depending on the scope of work.
The estimated lead time provided in your approved quotation or order confirmation applies specifically to your project.
When Production Begins
To ensure accuracy and avoid unnecessary delays, production can only begin after all required information has been received and approved.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, the production lead time begins only after PJ Metal Craft LLC has received:
- The required project deposit
- Final approved measurements and specifications
- Approved shop drawings, when applicable
- Templates, originals, scans, CAD files, or reference materials, if required
- Any engineering approvals or project information necessary to begin fabrication
Please note that lead time does not begin on the date of your inquiry, estimate request, or preliminary quotation. It begins only after all required approvals, documentation, and deposits have been received.
Production Schedule & Customer Approvals
Timely communication and approvals help keep your project on schedule.
Delays in approving shop drawings, submitting measurements, providing revised information, or responding to requests for clarification may postpone fabrication and extend the estimated completion date.
Any customer-requested revisions after final approval may require additional engineering, drafting, fabrication time, and adjustments to the production schedule.
Factors That May Affect Lead Times
While we work diligently to meet every estimated completion date, certain circumstances may affect production schedules, including:
- Material shortages or extended supplier lead times
- Specialty material procurement
- Custom tooling or die fabrication
- Engineering revisions or design changes
- Customer-requested modifications
- Unexpected manufacturing requirements
- Supply chain disruptions
- Weather-related shipping delays
- Events beyond the reasonable control of PJ Metal Craft LLC
Estimated lead times are provided as planning guidelines and should not be interpreted as guaranteed completion or delivery dates.
Expedited Orders
Rush fabrication may be available depending on the type of project, current production capacity, and material availability.
Expedited orders:
- Must be approved by PJ Metal Craft LLC before work begins
- May be subject to additional rush production fees
- Are scheduled based on manufacturing capacity and project requirements
While we make every effort to prioritize approved rush orders, expedited production does not guarantee shipping or freight carrier delivery dates, as transportation schedules remain outside our control.
Quality Takes Time
Every PJ Metal Craft product reflects our commitment to exceptional craftsmanship, precision, and long-term performance. We never compromise quality to meet unrealistic deadlines.
Our team carefully fabricates, assembles, inspects, and finishes every product to ensure it meets the standards that architects, builders, roofing professionals, designers, and homeowners have trusted for decades.
