Shipping, Delivery & Pickup Policy
At PJ Metal Craft LLC, we take the same level of care in delivering your product as we do in fabricating it. Every order is carefully inspected, packaged, and prepared to ensure it arrives safely and in excellent condition.
Whether your project is being picked up from our workshop, delivered locally by our team, or shipped across the country, we are committed to providing a reliable and efficient delivery experience.
Local Delivery
For many orders, PJ Metal Craft LLC provides complimentary local delivery within approximately 60 miles of our workshop located in Stamford, Connecticut.
Local delivery is available for many products and is scheduled based on:
- Product size and weight
- Project location
- Delivery schedule
- Handling requirements
- Vehicle availability
For larger architectural products, our team will coordinate delivery details in advance to ensure a smooth arrival.
Additional delivery charges may apply for projects outside our local delivery area or for deliveries requiring specialized equipment or extended travel.
Customer Pickup
Customer pickup from our Stamford workshop is always free of charge.
Pickup appointments are scheduled once fabrication is complete and the order has been paid in full.
Customers are responsible for providing:
- A suitable vehicle or trailer
- Proper straps, padding, and securing materials
- Adequate assistance for loading when necessary
Our team will assist with loading whenever reasonably possible; however, the customer is responsible for safely transporting the product after it leaves our facility.
Nationwide Shipping
We proudly ship our custom architectural metalwork throughout the United States.
Depending on the size and type of product, we utilize trusted shipping partners, including:
- UPS
- FedEx
- Saia Freight
- LinkEx Logistics
- Other qualified freight carriers when appropriate
PJ Metal Craft LLC will determine the most appropriate shipping method based on product dimensions, weight, destination, and handling requirements.
Freight, Crating & Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated based on:
- Product dimensions and weight
- Shipping destination
- Required crating or protective packaging
- Carrier rates
- Special handling requirements
Freight quotations are estimates and may be adjusted if carrier pricing changes or additional services are requested.
Additional carrier fees—including liftgate service, residential delivery, limited-access locations, re-delivery, storage charges, or other carrier surcharges—are the responsibility of the customer.
Delivery Requirements
Some custom architectural products—including dormers, cupolas, chimney caps, cornices, and other oversized fabrications—may require special unloading equipment.
Unless specifically included in writing, the customer is responsible for providing:
- Adequate personnel to unload the shipment
- Forklifts, cranes, lifts, or other necessary equipment when required
- Safe and accessible delivery conditions
Our drivers and freight carriers are not responsible for job-site unloading or installation unless specifically arranged in advance.
Inspection Upon Delivery
To protect your investment, all deliveries should be inspected immediately upon arrival.
Before signing the carrier’s delivery receipt, please:
- Inspect all crates and packaging for visible damage.
- Open the shipment whenever possible and inspect the product.
- Note any visible damage directly on the carrier’s delivery receipt.
- Photograph any damaged packaging or products before moving or discarding materials.
Failure to report visible shipping damage at the time of delivery may affect your ability to file a successful freight claim.
Shipping Damage & Claims
Although every shipment is professionally packaged, damage can occasionally occur during transportation.
If shipping damage is discovered:
- Notify PJ Metal Craft LLC immediately.
- Retain all crates, packaging materials, and shipping documentation.
- Provide clear photographs or videos of the damaged product and packaging.
- Cooperate with the freight carrier’s inspection and claims process.
Our team will gladly assist you throughout the carrier’s claims process whenever possible.
Delivery Times
Estimated shipping and delivery dates are provided as a convenience and are not guaranteed.
Delivery schedules may be affected by:
- Freight carrier schedules
- Weather conditions
- Traffic or transportation delays
- Supply chain disruptions
- Holidays
- Circumstances beyond the reasonable control of PJ Metal Craft LLC
While we work closely with our shipping partners, PJ Metal Craft LLC cannot be held responsible for delays occurring after a shipment has been released to the carrier.
Risk of Loss
Ownership and risk of loss transfer to the customer when the completed order is released to the shipping or freight carrier or picked up by the customer.
PJ Metal Craft LLC is not responsible for delays, damage, or losses caused by third-party carriers beyond our reasonable control.
